Vanity addresses
Every Manna coin gets a recognizable address ending, so anyone can tell at a glance that it launched on Manna.
A coin's address is the string traders paste into bots and screeners. Manna gives every coin a recognizable ending, so people can tell at a glance that it launched on Manna. The exact endings are published on Contracts and addresses at launch. There's no charge for this. Custom endings (like …DoGE) are reserved for the Manna team, so every other coin keeps the Manna ending.
Manna's default endings#
| Chain | Default ending | How it's made |
|---|---|---|
| Solana | …MANA | Manna keeps a pool of ready-made addresses and hands one to your launch |
| Robinhood Chain and other EVM chains | Manna's EVM ending | Your browser finds it in under a second when you launch |
Solana#
Finding an address that ends in four exact characters takes millions of tries, so Manna prepares these addresses ahead of time. When you launch without a custom ending:
- 1Your wallet is given one address from the pool.
- 2It's reserved for your wallet for 15 minutes, so if the launch needs a retry you keep the same address. Unused reservations go back to the pool afterwards.
- 3In the rare case the pool is empty, your coin gets a random address instead. The launch still works.
EVM chains#
On Robinhood Chain (and every EVM chain Manna launches on), Manna's token deployer only creates coins whose address carries Manna's ending. Any other address makes the launch fail, so every Manna coin on EVM is guaranteed to carry it.
When you launch, your browser searches for a "salt" (a random number) that puts the new coin at an address with that ending. It takes at most about 65,000 tries, well under a second. The salt is tied to your wallet and your coin's details, so nobody else can copy it to take your address.
On EVM chains the ending field simply shows Manna's ending. Custom endings aren't available there.
Custom endings on Solana (Manna team only)#
Custom endings are available to Manna admins only; everyone else's coins always keep Manna's ending. For admins: in the Your coin step (Quick launch and Customize everything), find Address ending (optional).
- 1Type 2 to 4 characters, for example
DoGE. - 2About a second after you stop typing, your browser starts searching.
- 3A progress bar shows "Finding …DoGE · 42% · about 1 min left". "Keep this page open. It keeps searching while you fill in the rest."
- 4When it's done you see "✓ Found:" with the start and end of your new address.
- 5Launch as usual. If the search is still running when you tap launch, the launch waits for it.
The search runs entirely in your browser, on several of your device's cores at once. Manna never sees or stores the key it finds: it's the coin's mint key, used once to create your coin, and it isn't a wallet that holds money. After the launch, that address is used, so your next coin searches for its own.
Which characters are allowed#
Solana addresses use base58: letters and numbers except 0, O, I and l (they look too much alike). That leaves:
123456789ABCDEFGHJKLMNPQRSTUVWXYZabcdefghijkmnopqrstuvwxyzIf you type a character that can't appear, Manna explains and suggests the closest valid spelling. For example, typing D0GE (with a zero) shows: "Solana addresses never contain "0" (no 0, O, I or l). Try …DoGE".
Reserved endings#
pump, bonk and bags, in any mix of capitals, are how other launchpads mark their coins, and Manna's own trading reads them that way. You'll see "…pump is how other launchpads mark their coins. Pick another ending".
Match capital letters#
When your ending has letters, a checkbox appears: Match capital letters exactly "(off: any case, up to 16× faster)". It's on by default.
- On:
DoGEfinds exactly …DoGE. - Off: any spelling counts: …doge, …DOGE, …DoGe and so on. Each letter that exists in both cases doubles the chances, so four such letters make the search up to 16 times faster.
How long it takes#
The search is luck: on average it needs this many tries.
| Ending length | Average tries (exact case) | Typical time |
|---|---|---|
| 2 characters | 3,364 | Instant |
| 3 characters | 195,112 | Seconds |
| 4 characters | 11,316,496 | Seconds to a few minutes, depending on your device |
Before the search starts, the field gives a rough estimate for a phone, and during the search it shows the time left based on your device's real speed. A laptop with more cores is much faster than a phone. Turning off Match capital letters cuts the time a lot.
Messages you might see#
| Message | Meaning |
|---|---|
| "Pick 2 to 4 characters" | Too short. The box doesn't accept more than 4. |
| "Solana addresses never contain …" | You used 0, O, I, l, a space or a symbol. |
| "…pump is how other launchpads mark their coins. Pick another ending" | Reserved ending. |
| "The address search stopped. Try again" | The browser stopped the search. Retype the ending. |
Is it safe?#
Yes. A vanity ending is cosmetic: it changes nothing about how your coin works, its supply or its fees. Your browser checks that the key it found really produces that address before using it. And on EVM, the ending is enforced by Manna's contract, so a coin claiming to be a Manna coin on Robinhood Chain without it isn't one.
