Team Battles

Launch two coins against each other, on the same chain or one on each. The higher market cap in dollars when the timer ends wins, and a war chest built from the Solana side's creator fees buys the winner for its holders, on whatever chain it is.

Updated November 3, 2026

A Team Battle is two coins launched together, fighting for the higher market cap. Each side picks its own chain: both on Solana, both on Robinhood Chain, one on each, or one on another EVM chain Manna is live on. Traders pick a side, a live tug-of-war bar shows who's ahead in dollars, and when the timer runs out the bigger coin wins. Solana coins fill a war chest from their creator fees, and the chest buys the winning coin for its holders. It's a simple way to turn a launch into an event: cats vs dogs, two cities, Solana vs Robinhood.

Start one at /battles/new. Live and finished battles are listed at /battles.

How a battle works#

  1. 1"A creator launches two coins at once and names the teams. Each side picks its chain: both on Solana, both on Robinhood, or one on each (or another EVM chain)."
  2. 2"Traders pick a side. The bar shows who's ahead by market cap in dollars, live, whatever chain each coin is on."
  3. 3"Solana coins put half their creator fee into the war chest while the battle runs. Coins on Robinhood and other EVM chains pay their fee through the contract, so they don't add to it."
  4. 4"When the timer ends, the higher market cap in dollars wins (a tie goes to more volume). The chest buys the winning coin and sends it to the winner's holders."
  5. 5"Winner on another chain than the chest? Manna bridges the chest there with Relay, buys the winner and pays its holders. Chests under $5 (or under 3x the gas there) stay on Solana and go to the Solana side's holders."
  6. 6"Every step of a crossing is written down before it's sent, so a hiccup never pays twice or loses the chest: it picks up where it stopped on the next run."

Each side's card shows its chain, market cap and share of the total, a price line, and the volume, buys, unique buyers and holders since the battle started, its part of the war chest (or "none"), and a Buy $TICKER button. Both coins' pages show a banner: "In a battle vs $OTHER · winning" or "· behind" (with the other coin's chain when it's on a different one), and the time left.

Setting up a battle#

You need to be signed in to Manna (the battle is recorded under your account), and a wallet connected for each chain you pick: a Solana wallet for a Solana side, an EVM wallet for Robinhood or another EVM chain.

  1. 1Side A and Side B: pick each one's chain. Solana and Robinhood are the two big buttons at the top of each side. Under them are the other EVM chains (Base, BNB Chain, Ethereum, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, Avalanche): the ones Manna is live on can be picked, the rest say "soon". Under the picker each side says what its chain means for the chest: "Half its creator fee fills the war chest while the battle runs" on Solana, "No war chest on CHAIN: the creator fee is paid to you by the contract" elsewhere.
  2. 2Coin: an image (PNG, JPG, WEBP or GIF under 1.5 MB), a Coin name (up to 32 characters) and a $TICKER (up to 10 characters on Solana, 12 on EVM chains). Manna suggests a ticker from the name. The two tickers must be different.
  3. 3Team name (optional, up to 24 characters). Defaults to "Team TICKER".
  4. 4Buy at launch (optional), per side, in that side's chain coin: SOL on Solana, ETH on Robinhood, Base, Ethereum, Arbitrum and Optimism, BNB on BNB Chain, POL on Polygon, AVAX on Avalanche. Three shortcuts or a custom amount. Your first buy is in before anyone else. Changing a side's chain clears its first buy.
  5. 5Battle name (optional, up to 60 characters). Defaults to "$A vs $B".
  6. 6How long: 1h, 6h, 24h (default), 3 days, or Custom.
  7. 7Creator fee per coin: 0% to 10% in steps of 0.1% (shortcuts 0%, 0.5%, 1%, 2%, 5%, 10%). Default 1%. "Traders pay [fee + 1]% a trade: your fee plus Manna's 1%."
  8. 8Read the summary: each side's chain, the fee and first buys, and where the war chest goes for the chains you picked (see below).
  9. 9Tap Launch both and start. If a wallet you need isn't connected yet, the button says Connect Solana wallet or Connect EVM wallet first.

Solana sides go first and are approved together ("Confirm both coins in your wallet" when both are on Solana). Then each EVM side: your wallet switches to that side's chain, and you confirm the launch plus Manna's launch fee. Manna then starts the battle and opens its page.

When the two sides came from two different wallets (say a Solana wallet and MetaMask) and you signed in with only one of them, Manna asks the other wallet to sign a short note: "Start a Team Battle on Manna. This proves you launched these coins." It costs nothing and sends no transaction. One-tap accounts skip this: both of their wallets are already yours.

Custom length#

Tap Custom, type a number and pick a unit: hours, days, weeks, months (30 days) or years (365 days). Shortcuts: 2 days, 5 days, 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, 1 year. A battle runs from 1 hour up to 365 days. Longer shows "A battle can run up to a year".

Settings each coin gets#

Battle coins use Manna's Quick-launch settings, with your chosen fee and first buy:

The war chest#

Only Solana coins fill a war chest. On Solana, Manna's keeper collects each coin's creator fee, so while a battle runs it can set 50% of a fighting coin's creator fee aside for the chest. The rest of the creator fee follows the Balanced split as usual. Manna's 1% is never touched.

On Robinhood Chain and the other EVM chains the creator fee is paid by the coin's contract straight to the creator's claimable balance, so there's nothing for Manna to set aside: EVM sides have no war chest. The battle page shows each side's part of the chest and says "no chest" for an EVM side.

  • The war chest is shown live on the battle page (per side, with its chain) and on both coins' banners.
  • With a 0% creator fee there's no war chest ("a 0% fee means no war chest").
  • Two Solana coins must share the same pair, so their chests add up.
  • A Solana coin fighting a coin on another chain must be paired with SOL, and the other coin with its chain's own coin, so the chest can cross and buy it.

Example: two Solana coins, both with a 2% creator fee. During the battle, Coin A trades $20,000 and Coin B $12,000. Creator fees are $400 and $240. Half of each, $200 + $120 = $320, fills the war chest. The other half follows each coin's Balanced split.

Example across chains: $CATS on Solana vs $DOGS on Robinhood, 2% fee each. $CATS trades $20,000: $200 fills the chest. $DOGS trades $30,000: its whole creator fee goes to the creator through the contract, nothing to the chest. The chest is $200.

Who wins#

When the timer ends, Manna settles the battle:

  1. 1Higher market cap wins, compared in dollars. Each coin's market cap is priced in its own pair's dollar value (SOL, ETH, BNB, POL, AVAX, or a stablecoin at $1), so a Solana coin and a Robinhood coin compare fairly.
  2. 2If the market caps are exactly equal, the side with more trading volume during the battle, in dollars, wins.
  3. 3If that's also equal, side A wins.

If a pair's dollar price can't be read at that moment, the battle waits for the next keeper run instead of guessing (a missing price would hand the other side the win). Until settled, the battle card shows "Settling". Then the winner gets a crown.

Where the war chest goes#

WinnerWhat happens to the chest
On SolanaThe whole chest moves to the winning coin and buys it on Solana for its holders.
On an EVM chain, the chest is worth at least $5 and 3x the gas thereThe chest crosses: Relay turns the SOL into the winner chain's coin, Manna buys the winner there and sends it to its holders.
On an EVM chain, the chest is smallerIt stays on Solana and goes to the Solana side's holders, paid in SOL like a Harvest Drop. Crossing would cost more in bridge fees and gas than it pays.
Both sides on EVM chainsThere's no chest. The battle is for glory.

The rule for your two chains is spelled out on the form before you launch and on the battle page.

Paying the winner on Solana#

Manna's keeper:

  1. 1Buys the winning coin with the chest.
  2. 2Splits those coins across the winner's top 40 holders, excluding team wallets, pro rata to how much each holds, exactly to the smallest unit. Each holder's share is kept for them until it's sent.
  3. 3Sends the shares, a few transactions per keeper run (eight holders each), until every winning holder has theirs.
  4. 4Shows the payout on the coin's page as a battle prize, and the coins appear in each holder's bags.

Like every Manna payout, the prize moves once it's worth at least $1. If nobody holds the winning coin yet, the prize waits until someone does.

Safety: the buy is written down before it's sent and settled by its transaction's status: if it lands, the coins it brought are owed to the winning holders; if it fails or expires, the chest goes back and is tried again. Each transfer works the same way, so a crash, a timeout or a failed batch never leaves coins with Manna's keeper and never pays anyone twice: a failed batch is retried one holder at a time on the next run.

Example: the $320 chest buys $320 of the winning coin. A holder with 10% of the combined balance of the top 40 holders receives coins worth about $32.

Paying the winner on another chain#

When the winner is on Robinhood or another EVM chain and the chest is big enough to cross, Manna's keeper takes it there one step at a time:

  1. 1Bridge. Relay turns the chest's SOL into the winner chain's coin and delivers it to Manna's EVM keeper. The quote must keep at least 85% of the value, or Manna waits for a better moment. Manna only counts the guaranteed minimum Relay quoted.
  2. 2Buy. The keeper buys the winning coin with exactly what was delivered, on its curve or its Uniswap pool, accepting at most 10% less than a fresh quote (a sandwich makes the buy fail, and it's tried again).
  3. 3Pay. The coins go to the winner's top 25 holders, excluding team wallets, pro rata to how much each holds, one transfer each. They show up in the holders' bags and as a battle prize on the coin's page.

The battle page follows along: "The chest is crossing to Base with Relay…", "On Base: buying $DOGS for its holders…", then "Bridged to Base, bought $DOGS and sent it to its holders."

Safety: every step is written down before it's sent, and its outcome is looked up (by its transaction id) before anything new is signed, so a crash, a timeout or a busy network never pays twice. The chest stays on Solana's books until Relay confirms delivery. If the bridge doesn't go through, or Relay refunds it, it's simply tried again on the next run. After 5 failed tries before leaving Solana, the chest goes to the Solana side's holders instead. If Relay ever reports a failure without a refund, or the buy keeps failing, the chest is put on hold for a manual check ("The chest is on hold for a manual check before anything else is sent. Nothing is lost."). Manna's team sees every chest on hold, with its transactions, on its treasury dashboard.

Battles from the Telegram bot#

You can start a Team Battle from the Manna Telegram bot too, with the same rules and the same chain choice per side. See Launch and battles in the bot.

Tips#

  • Pick two sides people already argue about, and give the teams fun names. Solana vs Robinhood is a battle in itself.
  • Want the biggest prize? Put both sides on Solana: then both coins fill the chest.
  • Share the battle link: the Share button on the battle page copies it or opens your phone's share sheet.
  • A longer battle gives the war chest more time to grow, but a short one creates urgency.
