Trading rules
All 19 trading rules you can build into a Manna coin, from max wallet and anti-bundle to vesting and stock-market hours. What each does, its settings, how it's enforced and what traders see.
Trading rules are limits you build into your coin at launch, like "no wallet can hold more than 1%" or "trades only during stock-market hours". They're checked by the coin itself on every buy, sell and transfer, so no app, bot or person (Manna included) can skip them or change them later. Use them to make a launch fairer, slow down dumps, or build something new, like a members-only coin.
You add rules in section 8 of Customize everything. Quick launch has no rules.
All 19 rules at a glance#
| # | Rule | Group | What it does |

| 1 | Max per wallet | Fair launch | No wallet can hold more than this. |
| 2 | Rising max wallet | Fair launch | Starts tiny and doubles on a timer, so early bots can't hoard. |
| 3 | Chapters | Fair launch | Wallet cap doubles every time trading volume hits a milestone. |
| 4 | Trade guard | Fair launch | Max size of any single buy, sell or transfer. |
| 5 | Anti-bundle | Fair launch | Max trades per block, so bundlers can't sweep the launch. |
| 6 | Sniper-fee cap | Fair launch | Blocks bots that overpay for priority right after launch. |
| 7 | Max buy | Anti-dump | Biggest single buy allowed. |
| 8 | Max sell | Anti-dump | Biggest single sell allowed. |
| 9 | Whale sell caps | Anti-dump | Small holders sell freely; big holders sell in smaller pieces. |
| 10 | Sliding caps | Anti-dump | Max buy tightens as the market cap grows. |
| 11 | Diamond hands vesting | Anti-dump | Every buy unlocks bit by bit after a cliff. |
| 12 | Allowlist | Who can hold | Only wallets on your list can buy or receive. |
| 13 | Holders of a token | Who can hold | Buyers must already hold a token or NFT you choose. |
| 14 | DEX only | Where it trades | No wallet-to-wallet sends. Buy and sell on Manna only. |
| 15 | Stock-market hours | Where it trades | Trades only Mon-Fri 9:30am-4pm New York. |
| 16 | Buyer rewards | Rewards | Every qualifying buy gets tokens from a vault you fund. |
| 17 | Tithe | Rewards | Every trade pays a small fixed amount to a wallet you pick. |
| 18 | Entangled | Linked coins | Your coin stays locked until another Manna coin hits a market cap. |
| 19 | Reactive pair | Linked coins | Your max buy shrinks as a partner coin's curve fills. |
All percentages are a share of the fixed 1B supply. For example, 1% means 10,000,000 tokens.
How enforcement works#
- On Robinhood Chain and the other EVM chains the rules live inside the coin's token contract. Every transfer runs through them. A trade that breaks a rule is rejected on-chain and nothing happens, apart from the network fee for the failed transaction.
- Buys and sells are transfers to or from a trading venue: Manna's bonding curve, or the coin's Uniswap pool. A transfer is anything else, like sending tokens wallet to wallet.
- Rules apply on Uniswap too. Bot-ready coins and graduated coins trade on Uniswap v4, and the coin's contract still checks every trade there.
- When several caps apply, the smallest one wins. For example, Max per wallet 2% plus Rising max wallet starting at 0.1% means the cap is 0.1% at first.
Templates#
| Template | What it switches on |
|---|---|
| No rules | Plain launch |
| Fair launch | Max per wallet 1%, Trade guard 0.5%, Anti-bundle 3 trades per block |
| Slow start | Rising max wallet from 0.1%, doubling every 5 minutes, plus Anti-bundle 3 |
| Diamond hands | Vesting: buys unlock 10% a day after a 24h cliff, plus Max per wallet 2% |
| Anti-dump | Max buy 2%, Max sell 0.25%, Whale sell caps (1% small, 0.1% big, whale over 3%) |
| Chapters | Wallet cap starts at 1% and doubles every 10M tokens traded |
| Stock-market hours | Trades only Mon-Fri 9:30am-4pm New York, closed on US market holidays |
| Members club | Holders of a token only, plus DEX only (you paste the token) |

Fair launch rules#
Max per wallet#
"No wallet can hold more than this."
- Setting: % of supply. Default 1%. Range above 0 up to 100%.
- Enforced on: buys and transfers into a wallet. Sells are never blocked by it.
- Who skips it: you (the creator) and your team wallets.
- Example: at 1%, a wallet holding 9,500,000 tokens can buy at most 500,000 more.
Rising max wallet#
"Starts tiny and doubles on a timer, so early bots can't hoard."
- Settings: Start (%, default 0.1) and Doubles every (minutes, default 5).
- How it works: the cap is the start value, doubled once per timer step. After 14 doublings the cap is gone.
- Example: start 0.1%, every 5 minutes: 0.1% at launch, 0.2% at 5 min, 0.4% at 10 min, 0.8% at 15 min, 1.6% at 20 min, 3.2% at 25 min.
- Who skips it: you and your team wallets.
Chapters#
"Wallet cap doubles every time trading volume hits a milestone."
- Settings: Start cap (%, default 1) and Doubles every (millions of tokens traded, default 10).
- How it works: volume counts tokens bought and sold. Each time it passes another milestone, the wallet cap doubles. After 14 doublings the cap is gone.
- Example: start 1%, every 10M: 1% until 10M tokens have traded, then 2%, then 4% after 20M, 8% after 30M.
- Who skips it: you and your team wallets.
Trade guard#
"Max size of any single buy, sell or transfer."
- Setting: % of supply. Default 0.5%.
- Enforced on: every buy, sell and transfer.
- Who skips it: your own buys, and transfers you send. Your sells are still limited.
- Example: at 0.5%, no single trade can move more than 5,000,000 tokens.
Anti-bundle#
"Max trades per block, so bundlers can't sweep the launch."
- Setting: trades per block, 1 to 20. Default 3.
- Enforced on: buys and sells, counted per block. Trades in the launch block don't count.
- Message: "Anti-bundle: 1-20 trades per block" if out of range.
- What traders see: "Too many trades in this block. Try again in a second."
Sniper-fee cap#
"Blocks bots that overpay for priority right after launch."
- Settings: Max gas price (gwei on EVM chains; a max priority fee per compute unit on Solana), default 1, and For the first (minutes), default 10.
- Enforced on: buys and sells during the window.
- On Robinhood Chain: "Robinhood Chain orders transactions first-come-first-served, so this mainly stops bots that blast huge gas prices."
- What traders see: "Gas price too high during the launch window."
Anti-dump rules#
Max buy#
"Biggest single buy allowed."
- Setting: % of supply. Default 2%.
- Who skips it: you, and any buy in the launch block.
Max sell#
"Biggest single sell allowed."
- Setting: % of supply. Default 0.25%.
- Who skips it: you.
- Example: at 0.25%, a holder with 20,000,000 tokens sells in pieces of at most 2,500,000.
Whale sell caps#
"Small holders sell freely; big holders sell in smaller pieces."
- Settings: Small holders sell up to (%, default 1), Whales sell up to (%, default 0.1), Whale = holds over (%, default 3).
- How it works: if your balance is above the whale line, each sell is capped at the whale limit. Otherwise at the small-holder limit.
- Example with defaults: a wallet with 2% of supply can sell up to 1% at a time. A wallet with 5% can sell only 0.1% (1,000,000 tokens) at a time.
- Who skips it: you.
Sliding caps#
"Max buy tightens as the market cap grows."
- Settings: up to 5 tiers, each From market cap (in the pair asset) and Max buy (%). Add tier suggests 10× the last market cap and half the last cap.
- How it works: the highest tier the coin has reached sets the max buy, combined with Max buy if both are on.
- Example: from 0 ETH max buy 1%, from 10 ETH max buy 0.5%, from 100 ETH max buy 0.25%.
Diamond hands vesting#
"Every buy unlocks bit by bit after a cliff."
- Settings: Cliff (hours, default 24), Unlock (% per period, default 10), Every (hours, default 24), Min buy (% of supply, default 0.05).
- How it works: every buy of at least the min buy is locked in the buyer's wallet. At the cliff, the first period's share unlocks, then another share every period. Several buys blend into one schedule.
- Example with defaults: buy 1,000,000 tokens. For 24 hours none can be sold. At 24h, 100,000 unlock; at 48h, 200,000; fully unlocked after 10 days.
- Enforced on: sells and transfers out. Only the unlocked part can leave.
- Who skips it: your own buys never vest.
- What traders see: "Part of your bag is still vesting. Sell a smaller amount."
Who can hold#
Allowlist#
"Only wallets on your list can buy or receive."
- Setting: wallets, one per line. At least one valid address.
- How it works on EVM chains: the first time a listed wallet buys, Manna's trade panel proves it's on the list in a quick extra transaction ("Proving allowlist"). After that it trades normally.
- Doesn't block: sells. You are always allowed.
- What traders see: "This coin is allowlist only." or, on the trade panel, "This coin is allowlist only, and this wallet isn't on the list."
- On Solana: each listed wallet costs about 0.0009 SOL to add, once rules are live there.
Holders of a token#
"Buyers must already hold a token or NFT you choose."
- Settings: Token or NFT address, and Must hold at least (default 1).
- Enforced on: buys and transfers in. You're exempt.
- What traders see: "This coin is for holders of a specific token only."
Where it trades#
DEX only#
"No wallet-to-wallet sends. Buy and sell on Manna only."
- No settings.
- How it works: tokens can only move through a trading venue (Manna's curve or the coin's Uniswap pool). Sending to another wallet is blocked.
- Who skips it: you can still send tokens.
- What traders see: "This coin can't be sent wallet to wallet."
Stock-market hours#
"Trades only Mon-Fri 9:30am-4pm New York."
- Settings: Allow sells after hours (default off), Closed on US market holidays (default on).
- How it works: the coin reads the New York clock, including daylight saving time. Outside market hours, buys, sells and transfers are blocked (trades in the launch block are the only exception). With after-hours sells on, holders can still sell any time. Holiday dates are published on-chain by Manna.
- What traders see: "The market is closed. This coin trades Mon-Fri 9:30am-4pm New York."
- Pairs well with: a stock pair like TSLA or NVDA.
Rewards#
Buyer rewards#
"Every qualifying buy gets tokens from a vault you fund."
- Settings: Reward token, Per buy (default 100), Min buy (% of supply, default 0.05).
- How it works: after launch, send the reward tokens to your coin's own address to fill the vault. Every buy of at least the min buy receives the per-buy amount. When the vault runs out, buys still go through without a reward.
- Limits: the reward token can't be your coin itself. Like token gating, the amount is entered assuming 18 decimals.
Tithe#
"Every trade pays a small fixed amount to a wallet you pick."
- Settings: Per trade (in the pair asset) and Paid to (a wallet).
- How it works: each buy and sell on Manna's own curve sends that fixed amount to the wallet, where it builds up as a claimable balance. A trade smaller than the tithe fails.
- Limits: EVM chains only, on the Manna curve venue only. On a bot-ready coin it's skipped ("Tithes only work on the Manna curve, so yours will be skipped on a bot-ready coin."). It stops when the coin graduates. Solana has no tithe.
Linked coins#
These two rules link your coin to another Manna coin on the same chain. They work on Robinhood Chain and the other EVM chains, not yet on Solana.
Entangled#
"Your coin stays locked until another Manna coin hits a market cap."
- Settings: Beacon coin address, and Unlocks at market cap (in the beacon's pair units).
- How it works: nothing moves (no buys, sells or transfers) until the beacon coin's market cap reaches the target. Your launch buy is the only exception. Once unlocked, it stays unlocked forever.
- What traders see: "This coin is still locked until its beacon coin grows."
Reactive pair#
"Your max buy shrinks as a partner coin's curve fills."
- Settings: Partner coin address, Base max buy (%, default 1), Sensitivity (%, default 25).
- How it works: max buy = base × (1 − partner's curve progress × sensitivity). It never drops below 10% of the base.
- Example with defaults: when the partner's curve is half full, your max buy is 1% × (1 − 0.5 × 0.25) = 0.875%. When it's full, 0.75%.
Validation messages#
| Message | Fix |
|---|---|
| "Max per wallet: pick 0.01-100%" | Use a value above 0 and up to 100. Same for Trade guard, Max buy and Max sell. |
| "Rising max wallet needs a start and a timer" | Both must be above 0. |
| "Chapters need a start cap and a volume" | Both must be above 0. |
| "Anti-bundle: 1-20 trades per block" | Pick 1 to 20. |
| "Vesting needs an unlock % and period" | Both must be above 0. |
| "Allowlist: add at least one wallet" | Add a valid address. |
| "Holders of a token: paste the token address" | Paste a valid address. |
| "Buyer rewards: paste the reward token address" | Paste a valid address. |
| "Tithe: set an amount and a wallet" | Amount above 0 and a valid wallet. |
| "Entangled: pick the beacon coin and its market cap" | Valid address and a market cap above 0. |
| "Reactive pair: pick the partner coin" | Paste a valid address. |
What traders see when blocked#
When a trade breaks a rule, the trade fails and Manna shows a plain message:
| Rule | Message |
|---|---|
| Max per wallet, Rising, Chapters | "That would put this wallet over the coin's max-per-wallet rule." |
| Trade guard | "That trade is bigger than the coin's trade guard allows." |
| Anti-bundle | "Too many trades in this block. Try again in a second." |
| Sniper-fee cap | "Gas price too high during the launch window." |
| Max buy, Sliding caps, Reactive pair | "That buy is bigger than the coin's max buy right now." |
| Max sell | "That sell is bigger than the coin's max sell." |
| Whale sell caps | "Big holders have to sell in smaller pieces on this coin." |
| Vesting | "Part of your bag is still vesting. Sell a smaller amount." |
| Allowlist | "This coin is allowlist only." |
| Holders of a token | "This coin is for holders of a specific token only." |
| DEX only | "This coin can't be sent wallet to wallet." |
| Stock-market hours | "The market is closed. This coin trades Mon-Fri 9:30am-4pm New York." |
| Entangled | "This coin is still locked until its beacon coin grows." |
Each coin's page lists its active rules in plain words, like "Max 1% per wallet" or "Vesting: buys unlock 10% every 24h after 24h", so traders know before they buy.
Creator and team exemptions#
| Rule | Creator | Team wallets (EVM) |
|---|---|---|
| Max per wallet, Rising, Chapters | Exempt | Exempt |
| Trade guard | Exempt for buys and sends, not sells | Not exempt |
| Max buy, Sliding caps, Reactive | Exempt | Not exempt |
| Max sell, Whale sell caps | Exempt | Not exempt |
| Vesting | Creator's buys never vest | Not exempt |
| Allowlist, Holders of a token | Always allowed | Not exempt |
| DEX only | Can still send | Not exempt |
| Anti-bundle, Market hours | Not exempt (but trades in the launch block skip them) | Not exempt |
| Sniper-fee cap | Not exempt | Not exempt |
| Entangled | Only the launch buy | Not exempt |
Rules on Solana: what to know#
- Solana coins with rules are Token-2022 coins with Manna's rules program attached. "They trade on Manna, but Jupiter and most Solana bots don't support rule-enforcing tokens yet. Skip rules if bot trading matters more."
- Coins with rules can't be put in a token lock (see Dev buy and locks).
- Entangled and Reactive pair currently work on the EVM chains only. Tithe has no Solana version.
- Vesting on Solana needs a small rent deposit for each buyer's vesting record, about 0.0012 SOL per wallet.
