Launch your first coin
A step-by-step walkthrough of Quick launch on mannas.fun. What each screen means, what a launch costs on each chain, and what happens once your coin is live.
This guide walks you through launching a coin with Quick launch, the fastest way to go live on Manna. You pick a picture, a name and a ticker, decide whether to buy some yourself, and confirm. Manna fills in every other setting with sensible defaults. It takes about a minute, and you can launch on any of Manna's 9 chains: Solana, Robinhood Chain, Base, BNB Chain, Ethereum, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon and Avalanche.
If you want to control the pair, the fee split, the sniper shield or trading rules, use the step by step or Advanced layouts instead. You can switch between them at any time without losing what you typed. Every setting, and both layouts, are explained in Launch settings.
Before you start#
You need three things:
- A wallet on the chain you launch on. A Solana wallet for Solana, an EVM wallet for Robinhood Chain and the other EVM chains (one EVM address works on all eight). On Solana and Robinhood Chain, if you use Manna's one-tap cash, Manna can move what the launch needs from your cash first (see One-tap trading and cash). On Base, BNB Chain, Ethereum, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon and Avalanche your wallet pays for itself, so it needs the chain's native coin on that chain.
- A little of the chain's native coin for network costs and Manna's small launch fee (see What it costs).
- An image for your coin: PNG, JPG, WEBP or GIF, under 1.5 MB. A square image looks best. You can launch without one, and Manna shows the first letter of your ticker instead.
Step by step#
Open /launch. The page opens step by step (Basics, Fees, Review). Tap Quick at the top for the three short steps below; your choice is remembered. The dots in the top right show where you are.
Pick a chain#
The chain tabs sit at the top of the card: Solana, Robinhood Chain, Base, BNB Chain, Ethereum, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon and Avalanche. Chains that aren't live yet show as coming soon. On a phone the row scrolls sideways.
Advanced, in the same switch at the top, opens the full sheet with what you've typed so far.
Step 1: Your coin#
"A picture, a name and a ticker. That's all you need."
- 1Tap the square to Add image, or drag a file onto it.
- 2Type a Name, up to 32 characters (for example "Zuzu the Otter").
- 3Manna fills in a Ticker from the name as you type: the first word in capitals if it's 3 letters or longer ("Zuzu the Otter" becomes ZUZU), otherwise the words joined ("Al Bo" becomes ALBO). Edit it if you want something else.
- 4Optional: pick an Address ending, the last characters of your coin's address. Leave it empty to get Manna's default ending. On EVM chains the ending is fixed and can't be changed. See Vanity addresses.
- 5Optional: tap + Add description and links to add a description (up to 500 characters), an X handle, a Telegram link and a website.
- 6Tap Continue. The button reads Add a name until you have a name and a ticker.
Ticker rules, so you're not surprised:
| Rule | Solana | Robinhood Chain and other EVM chains |
|---|---|---|
| Longest ticker | 10 bytes | 12 bytes |
| Letters, numbers, symbols | Allowed, any case (shi.gov, 2049) | Allowed, any case |
| Spaces and invisible characters | Removed | Removed |
| Leading $ | Removed (Manna adds it for display) | Removed |
Limits are counted in bytes because that's what the chains count: a plain letter is 1 byte, an accented letter 2, an emoji 4. If you switch from Robinhood to Solana, a ticker longer than 10 bytes is cut to fit.
Step 2: Buy some first?#
"Be your coin's first buyer. You skip the sniper shield, so you get the launch price."
Your first buy (often called the dev buy) goes through in the launch itself, before any bot can trade. Pick a shortcut or type any amount:
| Chain | Shortcuts |
|---|---|
| Solana | Skip, 0.05, 0.1, 0.5, 1 SOL |
| Robinhood Chain, Base, Ethereum, Arbitrum, Optimism | Skip, 0.001, 0.005, 0.01, 0.05 ETH |
| BNB Chain | Skip, 0.005, 0.02, 0.05, 0.2 BNB |
| Polygon | Skip, 20, 100, 500, 2,000 POL |
| Avalanche | Skip, 0.2, 1, 5, 20 AVAX |
The card shows about how much of the supply you'd get, for example "You buy about 2.73% of the supply for 1 SOL" with the default settings. Tap Skip for no first buy: you can always buy later like anyone else.
On Robinhood Chain and the other EVM chains your first buy counts toward the team cap, which is 5% of the supply in Quick launch. If you want to buy more than that, raise the cap in Customize everything. More in Dev buy and locks.
Step 3: Ready?#
"Check it over, then send it."
You see your coin card, the address ending and a summary of the settings Manna picked:
| Line | What it means |
|---|---|
| Paired with | The asset people buy your coin with: the chain's native coin (SOL, ETH, BNB, POL or AVAX). |
| Fee per trade | 1% to Manna plus your 1% creator fee, 2% in total. |
| Your fees go to | The Balanced split: you, holders, the Comeback Fund, yappers (Hype Crew) and burn. |
| Sniper shield | 10 seconds. On Solana every buy in that window pays a flat 90%. You skip it. |
| Graduates | The Normal curve: about how much has to be raised, and the market cap at graduation. |
| Trades on | Solana: "Manna curve, then Meteora". EVM chains: "Uniswap from launch, every bot". |
Want to change something? Tap Change fee, pair, split or rules.
Tap Launch $TICKER. If your wallet isn't connected yet, the button says Connect plus the chain's name (for example Connect Solana wallet or Connect Base wallet), and the launch carries on as soon as you connect.
While it launches#
Keep the page open. You'll see four stages:
- 1Saving your coin's image and info
- 2Getting your Manna address
- 3Approve in your wallet. On Solana your wallet asks you to approve 2 transactions (the coin's settings, then the pool with your first buy). On EVM chains you approve the launch.
- 4Launching on-chain
On EVM chains, a second small transaction follows once the coin is live: Manna's $1 launch fee (see below).
Your coin is live#
The success screen shows "$TICKER is live", your contract address with a copy button, and four actions:
- Open my coin takes you to your coin's page.
- View transaction opens the launch on the block explorer.
- Launch another clears the form.
What Quick launch sets for you#
These are the exact defaults. Everything here can be changed in Customize everything before launch, but not after.
| Setting | Quick launch value |
|---|---|
| Pair | The chain's native coin: SOL, ETH, BNB, POL or AVAX |
| Creator fee | 1% per trade, on top of Manna's 1% |
| Fee split | Balanced: 40% you, 25% holders, 15% Comeback Fund, 10% Hype Crew, 10% burn |
| Sniper shield | 10 seconds. Solana: flat 90%. EVM: 99% falling fast to zero |
| Sniper tax (EVM) | Comeback Fund |
| Team cap (EVM) | 5% of supply |
| Graduation curve | Normal (about 11× the start market cap) |
| Where it trades (EVM) | Bot-ready: a Uniswap v4 pool from the first block |
| Trading rules | None |
| Dev buy lock | Off |
| Holders-only chat | Off |
What it costs#
Manna charges a small launch fee. The chain charges its own network costs on top.
| Solana | Robinhood Chain | Base, BNB Chain, Ethereum, Arbitrum, Optimism, Polygon, Avalanche | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Manna launch fee | $0.50, paid in SOL inside the launch transaction | $1, paid in ETH in a small transfer right after the launch succeeds | $1, paid in the chain's native coin (ETH, BNB, POL or AVAX) in a small transfer right after the launch succeeds |
| Network costs | About 0.028 SOL in network deposits for the coin's accounts, plus transaction fees | Gas for the launch transaction, in ETH | Gas for the launch transaction, in the chain's native coin. On Ethereum this can be several dollars or more |
| Your first buy | The amount you chose, plus about 0.001 SOL | The amount you chose | The amount you chose |
The launch fee is converted at today's price. On EVM chains it's only sent after the coin is live, so a launch that fails never costs it.
A worked example#
You launch on Solana with a first buy of 0.5 SOL when SOL is $150:
- Launch fee: $0.50, about 0.0033 SOL
- Network costs: about 0.028 SOL
- First buy: 0.5 SOL plus about 0.001 SOL
- Total: about 0.533 SOL. Your wallet needs a little more than that for transaction fees.
What happens after launch#
- Trading starts right away. Anyone can buy on your coin's page. On EVM chains, Quick launch coins are bot-ready, so any Uniswap bot or screener can trade them from the first block.
- Fees start flowing. Every trade pays 1% to Manna and your creator fee. Your Balanced split is paid out automatically every 15 minutes, as long as a payout is worth at least $1. See Fee routes and Holder payouts.
- Your coin climbs the curve. As people buy, the price rises along the bonding curve. When the curve fills, the coin graduates to a DEX pool whose liquidity is locked forever. See Curves and graduation.
- Your creator tools appear on your coin's page when you're signed in with the launch wallet: your fee earnings, DEX PAID, locks and more. See Creator tools.
Launching from Telegram#
You can also launch from the Manna Telegram bot (its link is published here at launch), on any of the 9 chains. Send /launch and the bot walks you through the same coin details, using the same Quick-launch defaults and fee split choices as the website, and launches from your bot wallet so there's nothing to approve in a separate app. The bot can also start Team Battles. Everything is covered in Launch and battles in the bot.
If something goes wrong#
- "That image won't work": use a PNG, JPG, WEBP or GIF under 1.5 MB.
- The launch button is greyed out: read the message under it. Most often the name or ticker is missing, or an address ending is invalid.
- Your wallet closed before approving: nothing was launched. Tap launch again.
- On Solana, the first transaction went through but the second didn't: tap launch again with the same settings. Manna reuses the settings you already paid for and only builds the pool.
- More fixes in Troubleshooting.
